It Only Takes One Bite
This year's official Food Allergy Awareness T-shirts were designed and selected by you! Your Designment was to create a T-shirt in the theme "It Only Takes One Bite." Here are your winners, sold in support of FARE and its mission to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies while relentlessly seeking a cure. 20% of net proceeds go to FARE.
Mackenzie Schultz's life was altered forever at the age of 5, when she ate a pistachio nut. That day, suffering life-threatening anaphylaxis, she discovered she had a food allergy. Mackenzie, like 5.9 million children in America, faces serious risk every day simply by eating in the school cafeteria, going to a restaurant, or even attending a friend’s birthday party.
FARE's mission is to ensure the safety and inclusion of people with food allergies while relentlessly seeking a cure (see video). Each year more than 60,000 supporters join in walks and other events around the country to help raise awareness about food allergies.
This year, we're asking you to help by creating an original design that captures the frightening reality that "IT ONLY TAKES ONE BITE" to trigger a life-threatening reaction in those living with food allergies. Submitted designs will be judged by FARE’s members including kids and adults living with food allergies and their families. TWO winning designs will WIN $1000 EACH and be featured on exclusive T-shirts sold in support of FARE in time for Food Allergy Awareness Week starting May 13th. Good luck and have fun!
